Last month, it was reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) had arranged for Zhu Xiaotong to help run the company's latest plant in Austin, Texas. Prior to that, Zhu Xiaotong oversaw the construction of Tesla's Shanghai super factory.

Electrek pointed out that Zhu Xiaotong began to play a broader role in the United States, responsible for sales, distribution and service in North America. At present, Zhu Xiaotong's official title is still vice president in charge of the Asia-Pacific region, but people familiar with the matter say Zhu Xiaotong has now been added to the North American sales, service and delivery organizational structure.

According to the report, Tesla Troy Jones, vice president of North American sales and service, has been the head of North American sales for several years, reporting directly to Elon Musk, and now he reports directly to Zhu Xiaotong.

CTOnews.com learned that industrial and commercial information showed that Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. had previously undergone industrial and commercial changes. Zhu Xiaotong stepped down as the legal representative and Wang Hao took over. The company was founded in 2018 with a registered capital of 4.67 billion yuan and is wholly owned by Tesla Automobile Hong Kong Co., Ltd. At present, Zhu Xiaotong is still chairman of the company.

According to public information, Zhu Xiaotong joined Tesla Automobile Company in April 2014 as project director of Tesla China supercharging station. In December 2014, Wu Bicheng, Tesla's global vice president and president of China, left, and Zhu Xiaotong, project director of the supercharging station, took over his job. During her tenure as president of China, Zhu Xiaotong led a series of issues on the localization of Tesla products in China, including the opening of an experience center, the spread of new cars in China and the construction of the Tesla super factory in Shanghai.
