CTOnews.com, January 3, 2008. Prior to CES 2023, MediaTek today released the Genio 2023, the latest chipset in the Genio platform for Internet of things devices, an eight-core chipset designed for smart home, smart retail and industrial Internet of things products.

According to reports, the Genio 700 will be part of MediaTek's booth CES 2023 demonstration. Focused on energy efficiency, the chipset is an Internet of things chipset for the N6 (6nm) process, with two ARM A78 cores running at 2.2 GHz and six ARM A55 cores with 2.0 GHz, as well as a 4.0 TOPs AI accelerator. Genio 700s also support FHD 60p + 4K 60p displays, as well as ISP for better images.

Richard Lu, vice president of the Internet of things business at MediaTek, said: "when we launched the Genio Internet of things product line last year, we designed a platform with the scalability and development support required by the brand, paving the way for continued expansion. Genio 700s focus on industrial and smart home products and are the perfect complement to the product lineup, ensuring that we can provide the widest possible support to our customers."

According to reports, Genio 700SDK allows designers to customize products using Yocto Linux, Ubuntu and Android. With this support, customers can easily develop their own products with minimal effort, regardless of the type of application.

Other features of the MediaTek Genio 700 include:

Support for high-speed interfaces, including PCIe 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen1 and camera MIPI-CSI interface

Dual screen support FHD 60p + 4K 60p, support AV1, VP9, H.265 and H.264 (video decoding)

ARM PSA authentication to improve security
