CTOnews.com, January 2, South Korea's National Defense Science Institute released a video of the launch of a solid fuel carrier rocket on December 30, 2022. The rocket's first-to third-stage arrows use solid fuel, while the upper stage uses liquid fuel.

Earlier on Friday, South Korean media reported that a number of UFOs had been found over South Korean airspace. It is reported that Friday's flight test coincided with repeated UFO sightings across the country. There are many similar reports in Japan, and some people have posted pictures of bright triangular lights in the sky on social media.

The South Korean Defense Ministry said the test could not be announced in advance because of security concerns.

Last year, South Korea and the United States agreed to lift restrictions on South Korea's missile development, including the use of solid fuel. In June this year, South Korea successfully launched several satellites into orbit by testing its domestic liquid engine "Nouri" rocket for the second time, taking an important step forward in advancing its space program.

In March, the South Korean Defense Development Agency (Agency for Defense Development) tested a domestic solid-fuel space rocket for the first time at a proving ground 150km southwest of Seoul to confirm its capability.

The rocket aims to put a small satellite into low-Earth orbit. Compared with liquid-fueled spacecraft, solid-fueled spacecraft are usually simpler and cheaper to launch. CTOnews.com learned that the South Korean Defense Ministry also said it plans to launch a real satellite in the future after an additional development process.
