CTOnews.com January 3 news, according to FlatpanelsHD news, LG is about to release a new generation of OLED TV, its German official website has now updated some parameter information.

According to reports, the LG G3 uses Brightness Booster Max technology, the full screen brightness will be increased by 70%, and the peak brightness will be higher.

LG explained that this is a new "light control architecture" that combines a new light enhancement algorithm to make the full screen brightness of the G3 with Brightness Booster Max "70% brighter than ordinary OLED, suitable for 55, 65 and 77 inches." A LG spokesman said that the peak brightness of the G3 will be in the range of 1800 nits, which may be slightly brighter under the Vivid setting. FlatpanelsHD says its Vivid mode has a brightness of 2100 nits and a full screen brightness of 235 nits. By contrast, the G2 has a peak brightness of 930 nits and a full-screen brightness of 166 nits.

In addition, LG has no new sizes for the OLED series of TVs this year. B3 will offer 55 to 77 inches, C3 42 to 83 inches, G3 55 to 97 inches, Z3 77 and 88 inches, and A3 48 to 77 inches.

The LG 2023 OLED TV will still be equipped with up to four HDMI 2.1ports (two in B3), supporting 4K120, HDR10, Dolby horizon (maximum 4K120), Dolby panoramic sound, HDMI 2.1VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium, Nvidia G-Sync Compatible, etc. HDMI 2.1QMS (Fast Media switching) for the first time eliminates the "HDMI bonk" (black screen) that occurs when switching between refresh rates (24Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, etc.). The Apple TV 4K (2022) is the first playback device that supports HDMI 2.1QMS.

The LG webOS 23 TV system will have a simplified appearance and support for fast card and tab navigation. The new TV will also feature an Alpha 9 Gen6 processor, which uses "AI" technology to identify objects to enhance clarity or apply HDR tone mapping to each object in the picture separately.
