CTOnews.com news on January 2, after the launch of the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360laptop with Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chip, Samsung launched the Galaxy Book 2 Go with newer chipset, equipped with Windows 11 system and Snapdragon 7c + Gen 3 chip.

Samsung claims that the Galaxy Book 2 Go is a compact and powerful laptop. Equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c + Gen 3 chip, compared with Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 used by Galaxy Book Go, the CPU performance is improved by 40% and 35%. The new chipset also brings faster wireless connectivity, including Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.2. Faster LPDDR4X memory (3200MHz) and storage (NVMe SSD) are also supported. Qualcomm claims that it provides improved artificial intelligence processing.

CTOnews.com learned that the Snapdragon 7c + Gen 3 chip, built using TSMC's 6nm process, can help laptops maintain longer battery life after a single charge. Samsung claims that the Galaxy Book 2 Go can last for a whole day, or up to 21 hours of video playback. Although the chipset supports 5G functionality, Samsung has only launched the Galaxy Book 2 Go model that supports Wi-Fi. Samsung may release the Galaxy Book 2 Go 5G version sometime this year. The laptop is pre-installed to run Windows 11 and is equipped with Galaxy ecosystem features such as Galaxy Buds automatic switching, Link to Windows, multiple controls (Galaxy tablet), fast sharing, Samsung notes and second screen.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Go features a 14-inch IPS LCD display with full HD resolution and 180-degree hinges. It uses a larger trackpad and a webcam. Samsung has not disclosed the memory, storage or battery capacity of its new laptop. The notebook supports MIL-STD-810G specifications, which means more resistance to falls, extreme temperature, moisture, impact and vibration. The notebook is 15.5mm thick and weighs 1.44Kg.

Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Go will be sold exclusively through Samsung.com in France from January 20, 2023.
