State Grid said that at the critical moment of meeting the peak and spending the winter, China added another major artery for energy supply "power transmission from west to east", marking the full completion of the power transmission channel project of Baihetan Hydropower Station. Clean power is sent to Jiangsu and Zhejiang through the Baihetan-Jiangsu and Baihetan-Zhejiang UHV projects, injecting new kinetic energy into the integrated high-quality development of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta.

CTOnews.com of ▲ Baihetan Hydropower Station learned that the Baihetan-Zhejiang project starts from the Baihetan Converter Station in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, ends at the Northern Zhejiang Converter Station in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and passes through Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Anhui, Zhejiang and other five provinces (cities), with a rated transmission capacity of 8 million kilowatts, a total line length of 2121 km, and a total investment of 29.9 billion yuan.

The transmission channel of Baihetan Hydropower Station includes two UHV projects: Baihetan-Jiangsu and Baihetan-Zhejiang. The former was completed and put into operation in July 2022. The commissioning of the Baihetan-Zhejiang project marks the opening of the two power transmission channels of Baihetan Hydropower Station to Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and the full completion of the power delivery project of Baihetan Hydropower Station, the second largest hydropower station in the world.
