The United States accounted for 29% of Samsung's foldable smartphone production in 2021, but it plummeted to just 7% in the fourth quarter of 2022.

In addition, DSCC said that although the foldable market stagnated in the fourth quarter of 2022, it remained a bright spot in the smartphone and display market. In addition, new entrants, such as Google, as well as existing mobile phone brands, bring more diversified products to the market, such as Oppo Find N2 and Find N2 Flip, which will increase market competition, provide consumers with more choices, and lower prices.
