CTOnews.com, December 31 (Xinhua)-- at this year's Huawei developer conference, Huawei released a preview version of HarmonyOS 3.1 developers, enabling support for API 9, according to HarmonyOS. Now HarmonyOS officially brings you five Sample based on API 9 implementation. Developers can not only master the core mechanisms and functions of declarative development paradigm, but also learn the use of cutting-edge technologies such as distributed device management and distributed data management.

It includes the following:

Sample 1: a number of weather applications, including home page, city management, adding cities, and updating time pop-up windows, reflecting the ability of one-time development and multi-end deployment. (source code download)

Sample 2: custom sharing, where sender applications share text, links, pictures, etc., to three-party applications and display them. (source code download)

Sample 3: jigsaw puzzle, which shows the jigsaw puzzle based on Grid components, and realizes the acquisition, cropping and segmentation of pictures through image (picture processing) and medialibrary (media library management) interfaces. (source code download)

Sample 4: distributed Gobang, which is based on distributed data management, uses Canvas components to draw chessboards and pieces, and uses distributed data management to synchronize data between devices. (source code download)

CTOnews.com learned that Huawei HarmonyOS 3.1 developers tried a fresh version of SDK to fully upgrade ArkTS declarative application development. HarmonyOS 3.1 will support 10,000 + ArkTS APIs, with declarative UI, application development framework, distributed system services, multimedia, WEB, communications and other capabilities. At the same time, HarmonyOS 3.1 SDK is compatible with OpenHarmony API capabilities, and Huawei will continue to invest in OpenHarmony open source projects.

The main API capabilities of HarmonyOS version 3.1 include enhanced declarative UI capabilities, a new application development model-- Stage model, and updated or enhanced capabilities of subsystems such as DFX, Web component development, international development, communication interconnection, media software, and so on. These capabilities mark that HarmonyOS has entered the declarative development stage of ArkTS language.

Huawei said it will release the Beta version of HarmonyOS 3.1 developers in January 2023 and the official version of HarmonyOS 3.1 in March 2023.
