As shown in the picture above, the game performance of MSI's new B760 mortar Max overclocking i5-12400 to 5GHz has surpassed the upcoming i5-13400 and is very close to i5-13600K.

CTOnews.com learned that the i5-12400 is a 6-core 12-thread processor, 4.4GHz, which does not support superdoubling, but can exceed external frequency on a motherboard with a clock generator.

Earlier, the whistleblower "g01d3nm4ng0" said the Max motherboard of MSI B760 mortars was equipped with Renesas electronic RC26008 clock generator. Under the addition of the clock generator, the motherboard can be super external frequency for processors such as i5-12400 which do not support super-doubling. In terms of price, it is reported that the MSI B760 mortar Max has two versions, DDR4 and DDR5, which sell for $219 (about 1526 yuan) and $229 (about 1596 yuan), respectively.

The latest news is that the B760 motherboard is now shipping and is expected to be available early next month.
