CTOnews.com December 31, Windhawk launched the 1.0 Beta update in the last day of 2022. It is a Windows custom software developed by Ramen Software, the developer of 7+ Taskbar Tweaker. It is designed to improve the Windows system customization experience.

Unlike other Windows customization tools, Windhawk offers a wealth of mods modification options. Official and third-party custom mods are available on the site, and developers can contribute their custom mods.

Automatically reject (or accept) dialog boxes from WinDbg informing you that files have changed

Windhawk can be installed not only as an installation package, but also as a portable app. The latter does not write modifications to the registry.

CTOnews.com learned that Windhawk 1.0 Beta major update logs are as follows

Mods now also includes an update log listing changes made to each version. To access this, select Details and switch to the Update Log tab.

Mods now have access to advanced options; these include overriding target processes, exporting settings, and using debug logs.

Advanced settings are open to all users. These advanced options include setting up "whitelisted processes" in Windhawk that are not allowed to be touched by any Mods. There are also ways to hide system tray icons, change the roughness of logging, or mod initialization dialog delays.

Right-clicking on the system tray icon brings up an option to show all loaded mods.

The user interface for loading Windhawk no longer requires UAC.

Windhawk 1.0 Beta also fixes several bugs. Developers have improved compatibility with Firefox web browser, fixed incorrect memory frees resulting in false warnings, and updated to enable previously disabled Mods.
