CTOnews.com news on December 31, quoting foreign science and technology media Windows Central reported that Microsoft may have given up Surface Earbuds. The TWS headphones, which have been online for more than two years, are currently priced at 1588 yuan at Microsoft China Mall, and are out of stock in both glacier white and graphite ash colors.

Microsoft's launch of Surface Earbuds coincides with a wave of headphones launched by major manufacturers around the world, but the headphones are significantly more expensive and uncompetitive than those of their competitors.

In general, wearable products receive multiple firmware updates during the product life cycle, providing users with richer features and repairing known BUG through firmware updates.

However, Microsoft has been in a state of ignorance since the launch of Surface Earbuds. The last time Surface Earbuds received an update was in September 2020. The first firmware update for Microsoft Surface Earbuds was in May 2020, and the second update was released after the introduction of a new graphite gray color in September of the same year. But Microsoft hasn't released any updates since.

But this does not mean that the functionality of Surface Earbuds is mature enough or that it does not need to be optimized. Currently known problems with Microsoft Surface Earbuds include:

The headset hisses when playing audio

The audio is out of sync between the left and right headphones

Long delay between headset and connecting device

Bluetooth connection problems in crowded places

Only one headset cannot be recharged in the charging box.

After the battery is exhausted, the headset cannot be charged.
