CTOnews.com, December 30, according to RUNTO's latest "China Smart Box online Retail Market monthly tracking (China Smart TV Box Online Retail Market Monthly Tracker)" report: in November 2022, the number of online retail sales of smart boxes in China was 205000, down 5.6% from the same period last year and an increase of 24.5% over the previous month. Retail sales were 50 million yuan, down 11.3% from the same period last year, up 25.7% from the previous month. The average online transaction price was 235 yuan.

In addition to macroeconomic factors, the more important reason is that with the continuous improvement of TV intelligence and lower prices, the competitiveness of smart boxes is declining.

Tencent remained in first place, with a market share of 19.4%. Sales increased for the fourth month in a row, up 19% this month. With the performance of the aurora 3C box, Tencent accounts for 20% of the share of less than 100 yuan. At the same time, with the performance of the new Aurora 5 Pro, Tencent's market share in the market of more than 500 yuan increased by 3.9 percentage points compared with the previous month.

Relying on the home-court advantage of platform promotion, Tmall Magic Box returned to the second place on the list, with a market share of 17.3%, an increase of 4.6% from the previous month. Its Tmall magic box 4 generation sales burst, becoming the best-selling model this month.

Xiaomi slipped to third place, with a market share of 14.0 per cent, down 4 percentage points from last month. Xiaomi has a great advantage in the price range of 200-300 yuan, accounting for nearly half of the market share.

Semini ranked fourth on the TOP list, accounting for 10.6 per cent, while sales increased by 282 per cent and 56 per cent respectively compared with the previous month.

Dangbei's market share is 9.4%, although its share is down 0.2 percentage points from last month, but sales are up 22% month-on-month. In the market of more than 300 yuan, when Bay is at the top of the list, the share is nearly 40%, nearly double that of the second place.
