CTOnews.com December 30 news, market research company Omdia predicts that next year, the global NAND flash memory market will be 58.513 billion US dollars, similar to the DRAM market (59.582 billion US dollars). The NAND flash market is expected to reach $84.378 billion by 2025, surpassing the DRAM market for the first time ($83.397 billion).

It is predicted that the NAND flash memory market will be close to the DRAM market next year (2023). However, compared with the growth of the NAND flash market, the price of DRAM has fallen faster.

Analysts believe the NAND flash market is worth $60.49 billion this year, down more than 30 per cent from the DRAM market ($81.714 billion). In particular, by 2025, the NAND flash market will reach $84.378 billion, surpassing the DRAM market for the first time ($83.397 billion).

CTOnews.com learned that the memory semiconductor market has entered a serious downturn since the second half of this year. In spite of this, the pricing level of NAND has been maintained to some extent compared with DRAM. As a result, Omdia predicts that next year's DRAM market will be more than 30 per cent smaller than this year, while NAND's market will remain the same next year.

They believe that the sharp rise in the growth momentum of the NAND flash market compared with DRAM is also one of the reasons why the NAND market has a bright future. Not only data centers, artificial intelligence (AI), but also the use of NAND in cars is expanding. Recently, the amount of memory and specifications that enter the car are increasing.
