CTOnews.com December 30 news, according to China Railway Jinan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. released, the country's first city-wide high-speed rail Jinan-Laiwu high-speed railway (referred to as "Ji-Lai high-speed rail") officially opened on December 30.

CTOnews.com learned that Jinan-Laiwu High-speed Railway is located in Jinan City, Shandong Province, with a total length of 117.49km and a design speed of 350km/h. The construction of the whole line was started on September 18,2019. There are 6 stations in Jinan East, Licheng, Zhangqiu South, Xueye, Laiwu North and Gangcheng along the whole line. The fastest running time is 42 minutes. It is connected with Shiji High-speed Railway and Jiqing High-speed Railway through Jinan East Railway Station and connected to the national high-speed railway network.

At the initial stage of operation, the railway department arranged 4 pairs of EMU trains and 1 pair of peak line trains, namely G5371 / G5372, G5373 / G5374, G5375 / G5376, G5377 / G5378 and G9325 / G9326 peak line trains from Jinan to Gangcheng respectively.

The railway department has started selling tickets for the Jinan-Laiwu high-speed train at 17:57 on December 29. The shortest running time from Jinan East Station to Gangcheng Station is 42 minutes, and the longest running time is 1:3 minutes. Tickets range from 51 yuan to 201 yuan, among which G5371 / G5372 second-class seats sell for 51 yuan.
