The line is 150 kilometers long and has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The section from Baodi to Binhai West is 97 km long with a design speed of 250km / h. This time, the section from Baodi to Beichen is completed and opened to traffic, the south and Beichen stations are set up, and the western section from Beichen to Binhai is under construction.

At the initial stage of operation, the trains of the Jingtang and Jingbin intercity railways start and arrive from Beijing Railway Station to Beijing Railway Station. The railway department arranges the operation of 5 pairs of EMU trains from Beijing Station to Tangshan Station every day, which can be reached in 1 hour and 03 minutes at the earliest; 2 pairs of trains between Beijing Station and Beichen Station, up to 1 hour and 32 minutes between stations. At the same time, two pairs of EMU trains from Beijing Station to Qinhuangdao Station are arranged to run across the Tianjin-Qinhuangdao high-speed railway, up to 1 hour and 39 minutes at the earliest. After the completion of the Beijing sub-central station and the Beichen-Binhai west section of the Beijing inter-city railway under construction, the fastest running time between Beijing sub-central station and Tangshan station and Binhai west station is expected to be 39 minutes and 56 minutes.
