02 airworthiness certification boats of AS700 airship completed the assembly and integration of on-board equipment in September 2022 and entered the on-board ground test stage; from December 26 to December 27, they successively passed the technical quality review of the first flight and the release review of the first flight. Previously, 01 scientific research demonstration boats completed all scientific test flights in October 2022.

AS700 manned airship is a type 1 manned airship independently developed by aviation industry according to the demand of domestic and foreign low-altitude tourism market and according to the design idea of "one boat with multiple types and series development." CTOnews.com learned that the airship adopts single-pilot system, can carry up to 9 passengers, conventional single-capsule layout, streamlined airbag shape,"X" layout rigid tail, non-retractable single-point landing gear, maximum range 700 kilometers, maximum flight time 10 hours.

The airship will be suitable for tourism, physical exploration, anti-terrorism stability, marine monitoring, cargo transportation, emergency rescue and other aspects.
