Upon completion, the Civil Aviation Administration of China will examine and inspect the verification results and confirm that China Eastern Airlines has the ability to operate the C919 aircraft safely, will issue the corresponding operation license, and then start commercial passenger transportation.

Recently, China Eastern Airlines released a video showing that the C919 domestic large aircraft successfully completed a demonstration of emergency evacuation procedures.

CTOnews.com learned that in accordance with China's civil aviation regulations, new aircraft put into operation must be supplemented by qualification, of which the key section is the emergency evacuation demonstration verification.

China Eastern Airlines has equipped the world's first C919 with a two-cabin layout, with a total of 164 seats, including eight business class and 156 economy class, all using a new generation of home-made seats that have been completely independently developed, Red Star News reported. In the cabin, the seats are designed with a cradle design, with a maximum degree of 120 degrees, the backrest can also be adjusted according to the height of the passenger's upper body, and the headrest can be bent. In addition, the seat design of economy class is three pairs per row, and the middle seat of China Eastern C919 economy class triple seat is wider than both sides of 1.5cm, making the generally unpopular middle seat more comfortable.

In addition, the China Eastern C919 cabin is also equipped with a total of 20 12-inch hoisting monitors to support high-definition 1080p movie screening. this is also the first time that China Eastern's single-aisle fleet has introduced 1080p program loading. It is worth mentioning that the C919 domestic large aircraft is also the first aircraft in the world equipped with a full Chinese display operating system.

The 100-hour verification flight will last until mid-February 2023, with 9 provinces and cities and 10 airports taking off and landing. On each flight verification day, the C919 will take off from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to the Beijing capital, Beijing Daxing, Chengdu Tianfu, Xi'an, Haikou, Qingdao, Wuhan, Nanchang, Jinan and other destinations, and return to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport on the same day.

China Eastern Airlines strives to put the C919 into commercial passenger operation in the spring of 2023. At that time, C919 will appear on high-quality boutique routes in Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, Kunming, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen and other places.
