The second phase of Xi'an Metro Line 6 starts from the Northwest University of Technology Station (excluding). The line runs along Longnan Road, Xiguan Zhengjie, West Street, East Street, Dongguanzheng Street, Xianning Road, Textile City main Street, Changle East Road to the terminal Textile City Station. The total length of the line is about 19.5 km. There are 17 stations, all of which are underground stations (including 6 interchange stations). The first phase of the line continuation project adopts 6B trains. It is the east-west backbone of Xi'an subway network. After the opening of the line, the total mileage of Xi'an subway has reached 279 km.

After the opening of the second phase of Xi'an Metro Line 6, there are six transfer stations, namely Textile City, Xianning Road, Dachan City, Bell Tower, Northwestern University of Technology, Science and Technology Road, which can transfer with Metro lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 9. After the opening of the second phase of Line 6, Textile City Station will realize the parallel transfer function of three subway lines 1, 6 and 9 in the same station hall and the same platform, which is very convenient for passengers to travel. As an extended line of the existing line, in order to ensure that the service level of the second phase of Line 6 is consistent with that of the first phase, the minimum driving interval at the initial stage of opening is 3 minutes and 01 seconds, providing efficient services for citizens to travel along the line.

After the opening of the second phase of Xi'an Metro Line 6 and the first phase of operation, the departure time of the first and last bus of Xi'an International Medical Center Station is 06:00 and 2315 respectively, and the departure time of the first and last bus of Textile City Station is 06:00 and 23:15 respectively, with a full-day service time of 18 hours and 20 minutes.

All lines of Line 6 support the functions of QR code scanning and face recognition, and the intelligent customer service center is used to facilitate passengers to complete ticket processing, information inquiry, station navigation and other services by themselves.
