CTOnews.com December 28 news, China Information and Communication Institute released today's "domestic mobile phone product interactive carrier characteristics monitoring report" shows that in the third quarter of 2022, China's mobile phones large screen, high resolution, high-pixel camera configuration, high memory configuration and other performance features are mainly reflected in 5G mobile phone products, 5G mobile phones continue to show a high-performance development trend; mobile phone camera high-pixel ratio has increased steadily.

CTOnews.com learned that according to the data released by the China Institute of Information and Communication, among the mobile phones listed in China in the third quarter of 2022:

5-inch or more large-screen mobile phones accounted for 79.8%, of which 5G mobile phones accounted for 100% of 4G mobile phones accounted for 72.2%.

High-definition mobile phones (HD720 and above) accounted for 81.7%. The proportion of 5G mobile phones with high definition is 100%. The proportion of 4G mobile phones with high definition is 75.9%.

Mobile phones with screens accounting for more than 70% accounted for 76.9%, and those with 5G screens accounted for more than 70% accounted for 100%.

In terms of camera configuration, models with two or more rear cameras accounted for 59.6% of 4G mobile phones with two or more rear cameras in the third quarter of 2022. 37.0% of 5G mobile phones had two or more rear cameras, and 95.4% of 5G mobile phones had two or more rear cameras.

In terms of memory capacity, 84.6% of the mobile phones listed in China in the third quarter of 2022 had RAM memory capacity of 2GB or above, accounting for 80.8% of the models with 128GB memory capacity and above.

The proportion of 4G phones with RAM memory capacity of 2GB or above is 81.4%. The RAM memory capacity of 5G mobile phones is 4GB and above.

Models with ROM memory capacity of 128GB and above accounted for 75.9% of 4G mobile phones, and 97.7% of 5G mobile phones had 128GB memory capacity and above.
