CTOnews.com December 28 news, TrendForce Jibang Consulting released a report today said, 2022 Apple iPhone 14 series shipments to 78.1 million units.

TrendForce said Foxconn has been the exclusive assembly of Pro series for many years, but Apple originally intended to find other manufacturers to join the production assembly ranks based on risk control, and tried it out on iPhone 14 Pro series.

The report pointed out that Foxconn has become one of the iPhone 15 Pro Max assembly supply chains due to the impact of the epidemic. At present, its iPhone factory is still located in China, while Vietnam factory is mainly around Apple. At present, there is no iPhone production line planning.

In terms of overseas production, the report said that in addition to the existing Indian production capacity that will double next year, Vietnam factories are also planned to join production from mid-2023. The proportion of Apple's manufacturing in India and Vietnam in the next few years is expected to climb to 30-35% of total production capacity.

CTOnews.com has learned that TrendForce expects Apple's full range of iPhone shipments to fall to 47 million units in the first quarter of 2023, down 22% from the same period last year.
