CTOnews.com learned that the lunar orbiter was launched from SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket on August 5, marking South Korea's first deep space mission. The 678-kilogram probe will lay the foundation for South Korea's ongoing lunar exploration and point out potential landing sites on the lunar surface for future missions.
