CTOnews.com, December 27, according to Canonrumors, Canon will release EOS R8 before the CP+ in February, which is located between Canon EOS R7 and EOS R10.

It is reported that EOS R8 will have a different design from R7 and R10, have a unique screen and carry the same 24.2mp image sensor as EOS R10.

CTOnews.com learned that in May this year, Canon China announced the launch of two EOS R system APS-C frame camera EOS R7 and EOS R10. EOS R7 and EOS R10 are the first new members of the APS-C framing model since the release of Canon EOS R system, with effective pixels of about 3250 million and 24.2 million, respectively.

In terms of image, EOS R7 supports uncropped 4K 60p and 7K oversampling 4K 30p high quality short film recording, while EOS R10 supports cropped 4K 60p and 6K oversampling 4K 30p high quality short film recording. And both models support 4:2:2 10bit HDR PQ recording mode, which can record high-quality images with higher brightness and a wider range of colors.

In terms of performance, EOS R7 and EOS R10 inherit the high-performance subject detection technology of EOS R3. The maximum number of continuous shots under the electronic shutter of EOS R7 is the same as that of the professional model EOS R3, while the EOS R10 also achieves a high continuous shooting speed of 23 shots per second under the electronic shutter. Both models follow the second generation of full-pixel dual-core focusing technology on the EOS R5\ R6\ R3 model, and add a half-second pre-shooting function in RAW continuous mode.
