Communication World Network News (CWW) 2022 is not only the key year for China to implement the Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Action Plan (2021-2023), but also the final year for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to implement the 5G + Industrial Internet project. In this year, the national standards of industrial Internet have been issued one after another, the double cross-platform has been further "expanded", the national top nodes of the identification and analysis system have been fully completed, and 5G + industrial Internet applications have become more practical.

The industrial Internet network system takes an important step. The network system is the foundation of the industrial Internet. The industrial Internet network system extends the connection object to the whole industrial system, the whole industrial chain and the whole value chain, and can realize all elements such as people, machines, materials, workshops, enterprises, etc., as well as the ubiquitous and deep interconnection of design, research and development, production, management, service and other links.

In the 2022 work Plan of the Special working Group on Industrial Internet issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it is proposed to create an upgraded version of "5G + Industrial Internet", promote the transformation and upgrading of enterprise internal networks, speed up the construction of enterprise external networks, speed up the construction of 5G fully connected factories, and cultivate and promote typical application scenarios of "5G + Industrial Internet". Throughout 2022, the construction of the external network of industrial Internet enterprises has begun to achieve results, and there is still some resistance to the transformation of the enterprise internal network. The construction of 5G fully connected factories has been put on the agenda, and the typical application scenario of "5G + Industrial Internet" is in the cultivation stage as a whole. Generally speaking, the construction of industrial Internet network system in China is still in its infancy.

The network advances, the standard comes first. The core reason why China's industrial Internet network system is in the initial stage is that there is no national unified standard for the network for a long time. However, this situation finally came to an end in the third quarter of this year. In October 2022, the National Standardization Administration Committee officially issued China's first national standard for industrial Internet network, GB / T42021-2022, "General Network Architecture of Industrial Internet", marking a solid step in the construction of China's industrial Internet network system.

In addition, 5G fully connected factories are also favored by all parties in the industry in 2022. The guidelines for the Construction of 5G fully connected factories issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology mentioned the need to build 1000 classified and distinctive factories and 100 benchmarking factories to promote the in-depth development of 5G integration applications. It can be seen that the 5G fully connected factory is not only a powerful attempt for the final landing of the industrial Internet network system, but also a key application to promote the digital development of our country.

The industrial Internet platform system is beginning to take shape and is the hub of the industrial Internet. The industrial Internet platform system is to meet the digital, networked and intelligent needs of the manufacturing industry, to build a service system based on massive data collection, aggregation and analysis, and to support the ubiquitous connection, flexible supply and efficient allocation of manufacturing resources. There are two platform events widely concerned by the industry in 2022, one is the "military expansion" of double cross-platforms, and the other is the formal release and implementation of the first batch of national standards in the platform field.

In May this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced a list of cross-industry and cross-domain industrial Internet platforms in 2022, an increase of 14 over the previous two years, nearly doubling, thus greatly boosting the market confidence of all parties involved in the industrial Internet platform system. According to incomplete statistics, at present, there are more than 150 industrial Internet platforms with certain regional and industry influence, the number of industrial equipment connections is nearly 80 million (sets), and technical products are gradually accepted by more and more manufacturing enterprises. there are more than 1.6 million service enterprises. It can be said that the construction of industrial Internet platform system has begun to take shape, with slight achievements.

However, at the initial stage of the development of China's industrial Internet platform system, it is still unable to get rid of the situation of "jianghu scuffle" among all parties in the industry, and each major platform holds a "standard". Although the market has prospered in the short term, however, in the long run, it still restricts the systematic, ecological and digital development of the platform. Fortunately, in October this year, "Industrial Internet platform Enterprise Application level and performance Evaluation" and "Industrial Internet platform Application implementation Guide part 1: general principles" two national standards were officially released, which are also the first batch of national standards issued in the field of industrial Internet platforms in China.

It is reported that the two industrial Internet platform system standards have been applied and verified in 31 provinces and cities, more than 300 cities and more than 30,000 enterprises in more than 80 subdivided industries, effectively promoting the high-quality development and large-scale application of industrial Internet platforms. In addition, in November this year, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) officially issued the "functional Architecture of Industrial Internet system for Industrial Automation applications", which is led by China. This standard has also become the world's first international standard for the functional architecture of industrial Internet system, effectively filling in the gap of the international standard in the field of industrial Internet platform in China.

The security situation of industrial Internet is not optimistic. The security system is the guarantee for the healthy development of industrial Internet. At present, with the rapid development of industrial Internet in China, the trend of equipment systematization, networking and intelligence is obvious, but the sick operation of networked industrial equipment and systems is widespread, and the number of hidden vulnerabilities and high-risk vulnerabilities remain high. According to an evaluation of industrial security conducted by the China Institute of Information and Communications, 70% of industrial firewalls have problems such as insufficient depth of analysis of industrial protocols, lack of professional capacity in the industry, and inadequate performance of 85% of industrial firewalls. as a result, the threat to network security is particularly prominent.

At the same time, according to the IBM research report, global industry has replaced financial services as the most attacked industry since last year, and the amount of extortion against individual industrial enterprises has continued to rise. It can be seen that "Industry + Internet" is facing an unprecedented security crisis, especially for the industrial Internet development in China, which is in a critical period from initial exploration to scale development, there is an urgent need to establish a standardized industrial Internet security system.

In May this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the Circular on carrying out in-depth activities on Industrial Internet Security, proposing that it is necessary to deeply publicize and implement policies and standards related to industrial Internet security, and improve the working mechanisms such as independent classification, grading and verification, security protection and risk assessment. We will speed up the innovation of special technologies and products for industrial Internet security, and cultivate and strengthen local specialized service institutions. We will promote the in-depth implementation of classified and hierarchical management of network security of industrial Internet enterprises throughout the country, guide and urge enterprises to implement the main responsibility of network security, and jointly enhance the ability of industrial Internet security.

In spite of this, the industrial Internet security situation in China is still not optimistic. With the continuous development and innovative application of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing, driven by interests, network attacks focus more on high-value targets, and the industrial field has become the key target of organized attacks and even national strategic attacks because of its basic, strategic and serious harm caused by attacks. It can be seen that the systematic layout of China's industrial Internet security is imminent, and the security "consciousness" should also be quickly conveyed to all parties in the industrial chain to jointly build the "Great Wall" of industrial Internet security.

The industrial Internet identification system is becoming more and more perfect, which is one of the important infrastructure of the industrial Internet. In 2022, with the online operation of disaster recovery nodes in Chengdu, the "52nd" national top nodes in Wuhan, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing and Chengdu were fully completed, focusing on creating an independent, controllable, open, accessible, safe and reliable identification analysis system, and its innovation and development entered a new historical stage.

In addition, the online service of secondary nodes is expanded at a high speed. By the end of October 2022, there were more than 245 secondary nodes online, distributed in 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government). There are more than 195000 industrial Internet identification service enterprises, covering 38 key industries, such as machinery, materials, food, etc., with a total of more than 2126 logo resolutions. Among them, on average, each identification resolution secondary node has access to no less than 10 million enterprises, and the number of logo registration of each enterprise node has been no less than 10 million, promoting the landing of more industrial Internet application scenarios.

While the industrial Internet logo analysis system is becoming more and more perfect, the logo application has also ushered in a breakthrough. In November this year, the second batch of Industrial Internet labeling Industry Application Guide was released, covering seven major industries: instrumentation, clothing, environmental protection, logistics, building materials, chemical fertilizer and coal, providing an important reference and key support for relevant participants in the vertical industry chain to implement the application of industrial Internet labeling.

What is of particular concern is that in 2022, the overall deployment of industrial Internet active identification carriers has reached 10.41 million, successfully breaking through the 10 million mark. Active identification, as a general and convenient carrier, redefines the way of data transmission, and can be used as a medium for collecting and storing data to circulate among different systems and subjects. It can be predicted that the proportion of applications of active identification carriers will gradually increase in the future, which will become an important basis for promoting the Internet of everything.

Someday, with my sail piercing the clouds; I will mount the wind, break the waves, and traverse the vast, rolling sea. Overall, the development of China's industrial Internet in 2022 has achieved phased results, although the road is long and long, but the line is coming. The overall future is promising. Let's witness it together.
