CTOnews.com December 27 news, Hesai Technology announced that the company has delivered more than 100,000 lidar since its establishment, of which nearly 80,000 units have been delivered this year, ranking first in the global lidar production champion.

In April 2017, Hesai Technology provided Baidu with its first Pandar40, starting to enter the field of autonomous driving. "In September 2020, the medium-range lidar XT32 equipped with the first generation self-developed chip of Hesai Technology began to be delivered, and nearly 10,000 units have been delivered accumulatively so far."

CTOnews.com understands that as of December 25,2022, Hesai Technology has delivered more than 100,000 lidar units, including Pandar, QT, XT and AT series products.

In September this year, Hesai Technology announced that it had become the world's first vehicle-mounted lidar company with monthly delivery of more than 10000 units, with AT128 achieving a monthly delivery of more than 10000 units.

Hesai has also invested nearly $200 million to build a "Maxwell" intelligent manufacturing center with a planned annual production capacity of more than one million units. The new plant is expected to be officially put into operation in 2023.

Yole's "2022 Automotive and Industrial Lidar Application Report" shows that China is in a leading position in the global automotive lidar market, mentioning 15 lidar companies located in China, among which the world's two largest automotive lidar companies are from China, namely Hesai Technology and Sagitar Juchuang. In terms of revenue ranking, in the automotive sector, Hesai Technology is the world's No.1 lidar company in total revenue. In the self-driving taxi sector, Hesai Technology also leads by an absolute margin, ranking first in the world with 58% of revenue, more than twice the share of Waymo in second place.

Hesai Technology recently launched FT120, a pure solid-state short-range blind laser radar, which has obtained more than 1 million mass production fixed-point units from several main engine factories and is expected to be delivered in mass production in the second half of 2023.
