CTOnews.com December 27 news, recently, Glory Terminal Co., Ltd. applied for "screen double folding terminal equipment" patent announced.

According to the patent specification, the flexible screen of the existing terminal equipment is folded once, and the flexible screen can be unfolded when the terminal equipment is in use, but the unfolded area is limited. Considering the demand of the terminal equipment as a notebook office, the unfolded area of the flexible screen still needs to be increased.

The existing flexible screen adopts one inward folding and one outward folding, i.e., roughly zigzag folding, to increase the unfolded area of the flexible screen, but is limited by the superposition of the size in the thickness direction of the two bending positions folded inward and outward, which makes it difficult for the terminal device to realize thinning. In view of this, the present application provides a terminal device with a screen folded inward, and a small thickness.

CTOnews.com understands that this application provides a terminal device with a double in-folded screen. The terminal device with the screen folded inward comprises a supporting mechanism and a first screen. The support mechanism includes a first support member, a second support member, and a third support member. The first screen includes a first section, a first bending section, a second section, a second bending section, and a third section. The first supporting part comprises a first supporting part and a second supporting part, wherein the first section is connected with the first supporting part; the second supporting part is fixed on the first supporting part, protrudes towards one side of the first supporting part, and forms a first accommodating cavity at one side of the second supporting part. The first section is connected to the first support part, the second section is connected to the second support part, and the third section is connected to the third support part. The first bending section and the second bending section can be respectively flattened and bent in opposite directions, so that the third section, the first section and the second section are sequentially overlapped, and the third supporting member is positioned in the first accommodating cavity. The terminal device with the screen folded inward has a small thickness in the stacking direction.

Glory has launched a number of mobile phone products with inner folding screen before. The double folding scheme in the patent can further increase the area of the inner screen without excessive increase in thickness. We can look forward to whether mass production can be realized.
