CTOnews.com December 27 news, According to China CRRC news, On the morning of December 23 local time, The city rail train developed by CRRC Tangshan company successfully arrived in Portugal Porto subway Guifões depot, This is the first time that Chinese-made city rail train registered in Europe.

Portugal Porto Metro President Mr. Thiago, Director Ms. Lusia, Director Mr. Pedro, Project Manager Mr. Armand personally arrived at the train receiving site and boarded the train for a tour. Mr. Tiago, President of Porto Metro Company, expressed his appreciation for the performance ability of CRRC Tangshan Company's project, thanked the project team for its careful organization, and said that "the subway trains provided by CRRC will meet the growth demand of Porto metro passenger flow, assist the further expansion of Porto metro network and facilitate urban transportation."

CTOnews.com learned that Portugal Porto Metro and Maintenance Project was officially signed on January 21,2020 and officially came into effect on September 30,2020. This project is China's first order in EU urban rail vehicle market and an important milestone for China's rail transit equipment to explore the market of developed countries in Europe and America. CRRC Tangshan produces 18 metro trains totaling 72 (4 cars each) for Porto Metro and provides 5-year maintenance service.

The maximum passenger capacity of the train is 334 passengers and the maximum speed is 80km/h. The wheel tread and body structure are newly designed, which can operate on most metro lines in Porto. It has the advantages of light weight, low energy consumption, low noise and intelligence, which will meet the demand of local subway passenger flow growth, assist the further expansion of subway network and facilitate urban traffic travel.
