As the largest natural gas production base in China, the natural gas produced by Changqing Oilfield undertakes the role of gas consumption and peak shaving in hundreds of large and medium-sized cities.

This year, Changqing Oilfield completed the largest gas field production in history, with 2338 gas wells put into production in the whole year, with an additional daily production of 31 million cubic meters of natural gas, ensuring that the daily gas production of the peak gas supply this winter and next spring will reach more than 160 million cubic meters.

CTOnews.com learned that Changqing Oilfield is located in the Ordos Basin, with total oil resources of 8.588 billion tons, natural gas resources of 10.7 trillion cubic meters, but also rich in coal, rock salt, coalbed methane, uranium and other resources. However, Changqing Oilfield is also a typical oil and gas resource with low permeability, low pressure and low abundance in the world. because the oil and gas reservoir is tight, it is very difficult to extract oil and gas from underground. Changqing Petroleum has launched a series of scientific and technological research, continuously implemented scientific and technological innovation, and formed an original geological theory for rapid acquisition of oil and gas resources. the key core technologies such as three-dimensional seismic in loess plateau, excellent and fast drilling of horizontal wells and factory volume fracturing have been mastered, which has made continuous breakthroughs in the exploitation of "three low" oil and gas.
