CTOnews.com On December 27, AMD Core Technology Group graphics engineer Dihara Wijetunga announced that he was developing the Return to German Headquarters Light Path Tracking MOD about six months ago. Wijetunga shared a few comparison images back in August; today he revealed all of the MOD's major temporal Upscaling algorithms, including AMD FSR 2, NVIDIA DLSS 2, and Intel XeSS.

Wijetunga tweeted: "I have added FSR2, DLSS2 and XeSS to RTCW Light Path Tracing MOD over the weekend. These technologies make it easier for us to track items in terms of completing path tracing."

Asked about the release date of the Light Path Tracking MOD for Return to German Headquarters, the AMD graphics engineer said: "I hope to have something out by the end of next year. It's mostly a one-man effort, so progress is a little slow." Wijetunga also confirmed that the motion blur option in the graphics settings refers to motion blur for each object, which is a more advanced version.

CTOnews.com understands that Return to German Headquarters is a first-person shooter developed by id Software and released by Activision in 2001. The single-player and multiplayer portions were developed by Gray Matter Interactive and Nerve Software, respectively. id Company, for its part, directed and monitored the entire development process as the lead developer for the development of the predecessor 3D.
