This is also the first "Beidou + Map" double high-precision school-enterprise joint laboratory in China, i.e. high-precision positioning + high-precision map.

According to introduction, the joint laboratory will fully integrate superior resources based on the accumulation of high-precision positioning technology and application of Beidou collaborative technology, promote the collaborative innovation development of industry, university and research, and focus on joint research on key technologies, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and strengthen industry exchanges.

CTOnews.com learned that Baidu Map, as the first Internet map service provider to comprehensively switch Beidou priority positioning, has started map navigation and positioning services based on "Beidou" since the launch of Beidou satellite navigation system, and has also created many innovative applications such as lane-level navigation, parking space-level navigation, intelligent intersection navigation, etc. in the field of mass travel.

The two sides jointly released the "Beidou +" Innovation Application Development Report in 2022, analyzing and summarizing the four frontier development trends of Beidou high-precision positioning:

First, satellite-ground collaborative high-precision and highly credible enhanced positioning.

Second, cloud-end collaborative Beidou multi-source fusion positioning.

Third, artificial intelligence collaborative positioning algorithm optimization.

Fourthly, the large-scale ubiquitous positioning application of soft and hard integration.
