According to CTOnews.com news on December 26, Ford China today announced the landing of its vehicle-road coordination system in Wuhan and Nanjing, thus realizing the coverage of Wuxi, Changsha, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Wuhan and Nanjing in Wuxi, Changsha, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Nanjing.

Ford China said that in addition to further landing in new cities in the future, Ford will continue to expand the coverage of its vehicle-road coordination system in six cities that have already landed. Ford owners in both landing cities and newly landed cities can upgrade to the local intelligent transportation system through OTA without any additional hardware.

CTOnews.com learned that the system is standard in the new generation of Mondeo, the new generation of Fmur150 Raptors, EVOS, Mustang Mach-E, Ruijie PLUS and the new explorer six Ford brand mass-produced models.

In terms of functions, the Ford road coordination system provides users with six major functions, including traffic light signal push, green wave speed, green light start reminder, red light warning, road information broadcast, electronic road signs, and so on, which can improve the efficiency of crossing and reduce urban road congestion.

According to Ford, the system is based on the existing communication mode of commercial 4G / 5G cellular network, and through the two-way data interconnection of "vehicle-road-cloud", the traffic light status and road infrastructure of the intersection ahead are displayed on the dashboard in the form of image and sound, and at the same time, the traffic light status of the intersection ahead can be synchronized in the map navigation mode of the vehicle machine. Car owners can also make personalized settings for sensitivity adjustment, sound reminder on / off, etc., according to their personal driving habits.

According to Ford data, as of December 2022, the Ford Road Coordination system has registered more than 46000 users, served more than 5500 users, and provided more than 190,000 services per month.
