CTOnews.com news on December 26, the Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today released the economic operation of the software industry from January to November 2022.

Data show that from January to November, China's software business revenue was 9.4672 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.4 percent over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.4 percentage points higher than that of January-October. From January to November, the profits of the software industry totaled 1.114 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.9 percent over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 2.4 percentage points higher than that of January-October.

In terms of exports, from January to November, software business exports totaled US $47.2 billion, an increase of 4.9% over the same period last year, which was 0.2% lower than that of January-October, of which software outsourcing services exports increased by 10.6% compared with the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that from January to November, software product revenue was 2.2923 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.6% over the same period last year, the same growth rate as in January-October, accounting for 24.2% of industry-wide revenue. Of this total, the revenue of industrial software products was 214.2 billion yuan, an increase of 14.2% over the same period last year.

The following is the economic performance of the software industry from January to November 2022 released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology:

From January to November, China's software and information technology service industry (hereinafter referred to as the software industry) operated steadily, the growth rate of software business income continued to pick up, the total profit growth accelerated, and software business exports maintained steady growth.

First, the overall operation of the software business revenue growth continues to pick up. From January to November, the revenue of China's software business was 9.4672 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.4 percent over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.4 percentage points higher than that of January-October.

Revenue from information technology services has maintained relatively rapid growth. From January to November, information technology service revenue was 6.1535 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.8% over the same period last year, an increase of 0.7% over January-October, accounting for 65.0% of the industry's income. Of this total, revenue from cloud computing and big data services totaled 932.7 billion yuan, an increase of 9.1 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 15.2 percent of information technology service revenue; integrated circuit design revenue was 252.8 billion yuan, an increase of 12.8 percent over the same period last year; revenue from e-commerce platform technical services was 947.6 billion yuan, up 15.8 percent from the same period last year.

The growth rate of information security income has been steady. From January to November, revenue from information security products and services totaled 174.5 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4 percent over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.3 percentage points lower than that of January-October.

The growth of embedded system software revenue is accelerating. From January to November, the revenue of embedded system software was 846.9 billion yuan, an increase of 10.4% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.8% higher than that of January-October.

The growth of software business income in the eastern region accelerated, while that in the central region took the lead. From January to November, the revenue from software business completed in the eastern region was 7.7946 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.7% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.3% higher than that in January-October. The revenue from software business in the central region was 460.3 billion yuan, an increase of 16.4% over the same period last year, 6 percentage points higher than the overall level of the industry as a whole. The revenue from software business in the western region was 997.7 billion yuan, an increase of 13.7% over the same period last year, which was 3.3% higher than the overall level of the industry as a whole. The revenue from software business in Northeast China was 214.5 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 0.2% lower than that of January-October. The software business income of the four regions accounted for 82.3%, 4.9%, 10.5% and 2.3% of the total national income, respectively.

From January to November, among the top five provinces with software business revenue, the software income of Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai was 1.9599 trillion yuan, 1.576 trillion yuan, 1.1418 trillion yuan, 1.0115 trillion yuan and 8181 billion yuan respectively, an increase of 9.3%, 10.5%, 7.5%, 18.9% and 9.7% respectively. The total software business income of the five provinces (cities) was 65074 yuan, accounting for 68.7% of the country. It accounted for an increase of 0.1 percentage points over the same period last year.

Figure 6 the growth of software business income in the top ten provinces and cities from January to November 2022; the growth rate of software business income in central cities is steadily increasing. From January to November, the software business income of 15 vice-provincial central cities across the country reached 4.7151 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.8 percent over the same period last year, an increase of 0.4 percentage points over January-October, accounting for 49.8 percent of the national software business income, accounting for 0.8 percentage points lower than the same period last year. Among them, the growth rate of software business income in Wuhan, Ningbo, Qingdao, Jinan, Dalian, Shenyang, Xiamen and Xi'an exceeds the overall growth rate of the industry.
