Up to now, 14 prefectures and prefectures in Hunan province have achieved full coverage of high-speed rail. After the opening of the Changyi long section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway, the Hunan high-speed rail network has been further improved and accessible, forming a high-speed rail operation network around the province.

CTOnews.com learned that the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway section from Changde to Changsha is 154km long, with a design speed of 350km / h and construction in stages. The 63-km section from Yiyang to Changsha was opened in September 2022, while the 91-km section from Changde to Yiyang started construction in June 2019.

The Changde-Yiyang section of the Chongqing-Xiamen high-speed railway is an important part of the Yuxia passage of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network in China, with three stations in Changde, Hanshou and Yiyang South, of which Changde and Yiyang South are the existing stations and Hanshou is the new station. At the initial stage of the opening and operation of the project, the railway department will arrange for 29.5 pairs of mobile train groups to be operated.
