CTOnews.com December 26, the open source installation tool Ventoy 1.0.86 has been officially released, which can be used to create bootable media in disk image formats such as ISO or IMG. Ventoy supports placing multiple disk images on a USB disk so that Windows / Linux systems with different versions / installers can be run on one device.

The new version of Ventoy 1.0.86 further improves the installation process of the Win11 system, introducing two options by default to bypass settings such as TPM:

VTOY_WIN11_BYPASS_CHECK

This bypasses the hardware compatibility check required to install the Win11 system. Ventoy creates several registry keys to bypass checks for TPM, CPU, secure boot, and RAM when setting up the operating system. This feature was introduced in Ventoy 1.0.55, but previously required the user to enable it manually.

VTOY_WIN11_BYPASS_NRO

This bypasses the online account requirements of Windows 11. Users can set up a local account when installing the operating system.

CTOnews.com learned that these two features were introduced in earlier versions of Ventoy, but are already in effect by default in the new version. If the user does not want the default to take effect, you can use Ventoy's global control plug-in to modify the default value.

In addition, Ventoy 1.0.86 introduces other fixes, notably Ventoy2Disk.exe 's support for command-line mode and the new menu language. The full update log can be accessed here.
