Asia-Pacific 6e satellite is a geostationary orbit high-throughput communication satellite, which is designed based on DFH-3E small communication satellite platform, carrying high-throughput load and using high-throughput satellite communication system based on Ku band to provide broadband satellite communication services for the Asia-Pacific region.

Great Wall Company promotes DFH-3E platform in international aerospace media DFH-3E platform is a universal communication satellite platform suitable for small payload configuration, which is launched by Great Wall Company and Chinese Academy of Space Technology according to the current domestic and international market trend. The Asia-Pacific 6e satellite is scheduled to be launched by the long March 2C carrier rocket in 2023 and will become a new member of the Asia-Pacific satellite team following the successful delivery of the Asia-Pacific 6D satellite by the Great Wall Company in October 2020.
