The initial release of March 13, 2018 updated the CredSSP authentication protocol and remote desktop clients for all affected platforms.

Mitigation measures include installing updates on all eligible client and server operating systems, and then using the included Group Policy settings or registry-based equivalents to manage setting options on client and server computers. We recommend that administrators apply this policy and set it to "clients that force updates" or "mitigation" on client and server computers as soon as possible. These changes will require a restart of the affected system.
