He is methodical, bespectacled and methodically explaining how to move data from the AS 400 mainframe to Excel;29. Today, the man is still giving presentations for Microsoft, but he is now the company's chairman and chief executive. He is Satya Satya Nadella.

CTOnews.com learned that Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992, which was his first appearance to introduce Excel products. Prior to that, he attended the famous public school in Hyderabad, India, and then completed engineering at the Manipal Institute of Technology. He then moved to the United States and completed his master's degree in computer science at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. After a brief stint at Sun, he joined Microsoft, and as a new employee, his task was to explain how Excel works.

Technology presentations in the past are very similar to what they are today-executives come out, talk about part of the product, and then leave it to their colleagues. After 1993, Nadella was promoted rapidly. By 1999, he had become vice president of small business services at Microsoft. In 2001, he became Vice President of Microsoft Business Solutions. In 2007, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Research and Development of Microsoft online Services, and in 2011, he became President of Microsoft's server and tools business. In 2014, he was appointed CEO of Microsoft, becoming the third person to hold the position after Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.
