CTOnews.com, December 25 (Reuters)-Tesla suspended production at his Shanghai plant on Saturday, according to an internal notice and two people familiar with the matter, ahead of schedule, suspending most of the plant's work in the last week of December, Reuters reported.

Tesla cancelled the morning shift and told all workers in its most productive manufacturing center that they could start to rest, the company did not give a reason, the report said.

Reuters reported earlier this month that the electric car giant plans to suspend production of its Model Y model from December 25 to January 1. It will be part of a planned production cut of about 30 per cent this month at the Shanghai factory, the Model Y, Tesla's best-selling model. However, on December 14, Tesla said that the above content was not true.

The Shanghai plant, the most important manufacturing center of Tesla, maintained normal operation in the last week of December last year.

CTOnews.com learned that Tesla achieved cumulative sales of 100291 vehicles in November, up 89 per cent from a year earlier and 40 per cent month-on-month. Of these, Model Y sold nearly 70,000 vehicles.

As of press time, Tesla has not responded to this.
