What is DNG? DNG is a RAW file promoted by Adobe. RAW photos taken directly by Leica, Ricoh, Pentax and many Android phones are.DNG files.

Adobe DNG Converter is a free conversion software from Adobe. Even if your Photoshop and Lightroom can't open RAW files taken with new camera models, you can open converted.DNG files with Adobe DNG Converter.

Finally, something very important for Sony Micro Single users: DNG is lossless compression by default.

Try typing "Adobe dng converter" into a search engine and open the link to Adobe.com. This is free software, do not download the so-called "cracked version."

Although the installation process is in English, the software itself supports multilingual interfaces including simplified Chinese.

It's easy to use, select the source folder containing RAW format and select the destination folder (the default is the same folder), then click on the conversion-there are some versions in the preferences, lossy compression settings, generally do not care.

The measured 2.16GB Sony uncompressed RAW is only 1.13GB after conversion, and the slimming ratio is about 50%! Canon, Nikon RAW files converted to DNG, the size will also change, but the degree of reduction is limited, so this article's operation is mainly recommended to Sony camera users.
