According to CTOnews.com news on December 23, at today's Meizu Conference 2022, Meizu said that it had cancelled "Meizu 19" and announced that a new generation of "Meizu 20 Series" would be released in the spring of 2023. The new phone is going well and is in the pre-production testing stage.

Meizu said that this is a multi-terminal, full scene, immersive integration experience pioneer mobile phone products, is integrated into the next era of mobile phone products. According to previous revelations and warm-up content, the new plane will carry the brand-new Qualcomm second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform and support satellite communications technology.

CTOnews.com has reported that two previous models of Meizu phones, M381Q and M391Q, appeared in the firmware database and Geekbench, when whistleblowers said they would be named Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro, respectively. The former seems to have built-in 4700mAh batteries and supports 80W fast charging.

In July this year, Star Times announced that it had a controlling stake of 79.09 per cent of Meizu Technology and took separate control of Meizu Technology. Shen Ziyu, vice chairman of Star Times, who is also chairman of Meizu Technology, said Meizu would retain an independent team and launch a new flagship next year.

CTOnews.com learned that Meizu Technology was founded in 2003, and if the new phone is released next year, it happens to be the 20th anniversary, and it seems possible to change its name to the Meizu 20 series.
