CTOnews.com understands that the Report points out that Web3 is not just a simple innovation in the Internet application layer, but may bring about the overall evolution and systematic upgrade of the Internet architecture, and analyzes it from the perspectives of technology, development, deployment, application and industry.

Web3 is not just a simple innovation in the Internet application layer, but may bring about the overall evolution and systematic upgrade of the Internet architecture. Web3 is the exploration of the next generation Internet framework after the emergence of blockchain and other technologies. Through innovative designs such as consensus protocol, encrypted communication, intelligent contract and distributed application, the Internet application ecosystem is reconstructed to further exert the value of data elements. However, Web3 is still in the early stages of development, the definition of technology and industry has not been completely fixed, and there is uncertainty in the development path.

From a technical perspective, Web3 initially formed the basic framework of "four layers and two modernizations." Among them, the facility layer basically multiplexes the existing bearer network, the basic layer mainly constructs a decentralized trust network based on blockchain technology, and the extension layer enriches common services through the design of "fat protocol stack" to provide more capability support for the application layer. At the same time, Web3 provides technical enablement through the market-oriented circulation and configuration of digital objects into data elements, and provides an implementation mechanism for unified digital identity and distributed fine-grained authentication through digital identity identification.

From a development perspective, Web3 consists of five types of engineering elements to form a distributed application development framework. Infrastructure is a distributed underlying network composed of multiple blockchain systems; component tools are bridges between upper applications and underlying infrastructure; interactive interfaces are presentation methods of Web3 applications, implemented through front-end frameworks; user portals are the starting point for entering the ecosystem, performing identity signature authentication and interacting with applications through digital wallets; deployment environments are code hosting and content storage environments for deployment and operation of other components.

From a deployment perspective, Web3 will build a data-driven, self-managed, distributed, and trusted next-generation Internet. In terms of computing, it brings new computing power requirements, computing scheduling and computing network collaboration to the network; in terms of storage, distributed network storage facilities inspired by digital assets are gradually constructed; in terms of communication, technologies such as digital identity will promote the endogenous secure communication of the network.

From an application perspective, the core idea of Web3 distributed applications is data-driven value allocation and value flow. The basic mode of Web3 application is that the distributed network supported by blockchain technology guarantees the right attribute of data, and the autonomous operation rules driven by intelligent contract enable all data contributions in the application ecosystem to capture value in the form of digital assets, and finally form a closed loop of value from data equity, equity asset to asset circulation.

From an industry perspective, Web3 innovatively forms an economic space mediated by digital assets, but the global Web3 industry has not yet formed a stable scale and mature model. Many governments pay close attention to the development of Web3 and keep active exploration. Standardization organizations are carrying out technical research and standard formulation around key directions such as distributed identification and digital assets. The scale and quantity of investment and financing of Web3 keep growing continuously. Internet enterprises and enterprises from other industries are looking for new industrial opportunities through Web3.
