CTOnews.com news on December 22, the first candidate update for Wine 8.0 was released earlier this month, and the second candidate update was released today. Since Wine 8.0 has entered a functional freeze period, this candidate version focuses on repairing BUG. Based on the update log, Wine 8.0-rc2 fixed 50 known BUG.

CTOnews.com learned that Wine 8.0-rc2 has mainly repaired games such as Unreal Arena (Unreal Tournament), Silent Hill 2 (Silent Hill 2), World of Warcraft (World of Warcraft), Resident Evil 7 (Resident Evil 7), Serious Sam 2 (Hero Sam 2) and Chicken Tournament.

Wine 8.0-rc2 also fixes applications such as MyPhoneExplorer, built-in control panels / explorer, QuickBooks Pro, and so on. A full list of fixes for Wine 8.0-rc2 can be found at WineHQ.org. The candidate version of Wine 8.0 is expected to last until January, followed by the release of Wine 8.0.0 stable at the end of January or February.
