Concessionary tickets for children and free rides for children with travel dates on or after January 1, 2023 shall be managed by real-name system and classified by age:

If the real-name system of tickets is implemented, children who have reached the age of 6 and under the age of 14 shall purchase concessionary tickets for children; children who have reached the age of 14 shall buy full-price tickets.

Children with a height of 1.2 meters and less than 1.5 meters should buy concessionary tickets for children who do not implement the real-name system of tickets, and children with a height of 1.5 meters should buy full-price tickets.

If the real-name system of tickets is implemented, each adult passenger who holds a ticket can take a child under the age of 6 and does not occupy a seat alone free of charge; if there is more than one, the number of people who exceed the number of passengers shall purchase preferential tickets for children.

If the real-name system of tickets is not implemented, each ticket-holding adult passenger can take a child who is less than 1.2 meters tall and does not occupy a seat alone for free; if there is more than one, the number of people who exceed the ticket shall purchase a child concessionary ticket.

CTOnews.com learned that, according to previous regulations, children's discount tickets are generally judged only by height: 1.2m to 1.5m can buy children's tickets, 1.5m or more to buy full-price tickets. With the living conditions getting better and better, many children are growing rapidly, and there are many students who are more than 1.5 meters tall on the primary school campus.
