The original title: "Why is the percentage chart made by colleagues with Excel so beautiful?" "

I believe that many friends will inevitably make all kinds of charts when reporting on their work.

But the chart that comes with the system always looks not so "high-end". If you want to modify it yourself, the end result is that it is miserable and may not be as good as the chart that is inserted automatically.

Look! Like this:

Today, I will take the production of percentage charts as an example to teach you how to make higher "compelling" charts.

Instead of talking about the conventional pie chart used to represent the percentage, we will talk about the more special "thermometer" percentage chart and ring percentage chart.

Let's first take a look at the effect picture:

Percentage chart of ▲ thermometer

▲ circle percentage chart is not very beautiful!

All right, enjoy the perfect picture, and then learn how to make it.

Thermometer percentage chart data preparation:

Completion rate and target value.

Procedure:

❶ inserts a column chart.

Select the data area and locate "Chart" under the insert tab-"insert column chart or bar chart"-"Cluster column chart".

❷ select the chart and click "Toggle rows / columns" under the "Design" tab.

The chart looks like this:

❸ select the chart coordinate axis, right-"format axis", switch to [axis options], change the "boundary" minimum value to 0, maximum value to 1.

❹ uses the [Delete] key to delete redundant content such as ordinate axes, Abscissa axes, chart titles, gridlines, and so on.

❺ double-click the column chart, open * * format data Series * *, and set * * Series options * *-* Series overlap * * to 100%, and * Gap width * to 1%.

PS: if there is an occlusion between the two columns here, you can adjust the series order in "Chart tool"-"Design"-"Select data".

❻ holds down the [Shift] key, draws a positive circle in the space of the table, and then sets the shape style.

❼ select the circle, press [Ctrl+C] to copy, select the "target value" in the chart, and press [Ctrl+V] to paste.

❽ will fill the circle color, copy it again, and paste it on the completion rate.

❾ selects the data series and sets the fill format to cascading and scaling.

Adjust the "target value" shape, select the "completion rate" series, right-click-[set data label], and adjust the font color and size.

Got it!

It looks okay, doesn't it?

But there is one drawback: if the "completion rate" reaches more than a certain value, it will. ↓↓↓

Don't panic! The solution is also very simple.

Select the "completion rate" series, right-click-[format data series]-[Series options], and check to draw the series on the secondary axis.

PS: after the setting is complete, the secondary axis cannot be deleted.

The doughnut percentage chart prepares the data source:

Column An and column C are secondary columns, and the construction method is simple.

Enter the following formula in the A2 and C2 cells:

= (1-B2) / 2 next, let's look at how to make a chart ~

Procedure:

❶ inserts the circle chart.

❷ removes redundant legends, chart titles, and so on.

❸ fill color.

Select the part you want to fill the color, put the left mouse button on the chart, click twice, the interval of about 1 second, you can select part of the circle, and then fill the color.

(the two semicircles above are filled with the same color ~)

❹ simulates "data labels".

Insert a rectangle in the middle of the ring, click the rectangle, enter the equal sign in the edit bar, select the cell where the percentage is located, and press enter.

Then set the rectangle style, shape fill, shape outline, as well as font style, font color, size and so on.

Setup complete! Isn't it easy? let's try it.

Two percentage charts are introduced in this article:

One is a "thermometer percentage chart" made from a column chart, and the other is made from a circle chart.
