CTOnews.com December 21 news, Sensor Tower released a report today that from 2019 to 2022, nearly 37% of Japan's IP mobile game revenue came from overseas markets.

Due to factors such as the epidemic, revenue from Japanese IP mobile games in overseas markets rose 14.8 per cent year on year to $3.38 billion (about 23.525 billion yuan) in 2020, the report said. Overseas revenue from IP mobile games in Japan fell back to $2.49 billion (about 17.33 billion yuan) in the first 11 months of 2022 as the dividend on the mobile game market receded.

In terms of downloads, nearly 90 per cent of the global downloads of IP mobile games in Japan from 2019 to 2022 came from overseas markets. Japan's IP mobile games were downloaded nearly 600 million times in 2019 and 2020. with the decline of the impact of COVID-19 's epidemic, the number of Japanese IP mobile games downloaded in overseas markets has continued to decline since 2021.

In terms of income, Niantic's mobile game "Pok é mon GO" continues to lead the overseas best-selling list of Japanese IP mobile games, making mobile games based on Pok é mon IP the most profitable Japanese IP overseas. From January to November 2022, Japan's IP mobile games overseas bestsellers Top100, Bao Ke Meng IP mobile games revenue exceeded 570 million US dollars (about 3.967 billion yuan), accounting for more than 23% of Japan's IP mobile games overseas revenue.

CTOnews.com learned that the report said the overseas revenue of the Seven Dragons Ball IP mobile games was second only to the Pokemon IP mobile games, and the representative games included "Seven Dragons Ball Z burst Battle" and "Seven Dragons Ball Guild Battle Legend".
