In addition, some users received the error code 0x800f081f after failed update, which will be rolled back to the previous version after installation failure, but did not provide further details.

In addition, after installing the above two cumulative updates, third-party applications that modify the start menu and taskbar will not work properly. One user commented: "after I tried to click the start icon, the corresponding menu did not pop up. I checked the CrashDumps folder and saw: 'StartMenuExperienceHost.exe.10884.dmp''.

In this case, a third-party application called "Explorer Patcher" seems to conflict with the December update of Windows 11, which may break the start menu.

If the start menu does not work, press Windows + R and type Control Panel. In the control panel, go to programs and features, and then look for "Explorer Patcher" or similar applications. Finally, click the uninstall button.
