CTOnews.com, December 21 (Xinhua)-- Microsoft announced today that High On Life, a first-person shooter developed by Squanch Games, broke several records on its first day of launch in Xbox Game Pass, becoming a hot spot on XGP recently.

Microsoft said High On Life currently won the best-selling game of 2022 (biggest launch of 2022), the best-selling third-party game of 2022 (the biggest third-party game launch of all time) and the best-selling single-player game of 2022 (the biggest single-player only game). All these titles were calculated by players five days after the game was released.

"this is the first time we have promoted games through Game Pass," said Mike Fridley, studio director and chief operating officer of Squanch Games. "We were shocked by the reaction of the players, who made High On Life the most popular game on Game Pass. Squanch Games was founded to create a game we want to play, and Game Pass helps us reach more players who want to play these games."

CTOnews.com learned that High on Life is a comic first-person shooter with action adventure and Galactic Warrior-like Devil City elements, taking place in a sci-fi world featuring talking guns. It was created by Justin Roland (Justin Roiland) and developed and released by Squanch Games.
