CTOnews.com learned that Linux Mint 21.1 "Vera" is based on the Ubuntu 22.04 LTS release, uses the long-supported Linux 5.15 LTS kernel series driver, and the official version uses the Cinnamon 5.6 desktop environment. The other two official versions use Xfce 4.16 and MATE 1.26.
