CTOnews.com, December 19 (Xinhua) according to BYD, 1200 BYD super hybrid models arrived in Colombia recently after the first batch of 500 BYD Qin & Song PLUS DM-i hybrid models were introduced in the Colombian market at the beginning of the year.

The vehicle shipped this time is composed of 200 Taiwan Qin PLUS DM-i and 1000 Taiwan Song PLUS DM-i, setting an all-time high in a single export of BYD's DM-i super hybrid model, marking that BYD DM-i model has become the first Chinese brand hybrid car to sell well in Latin America.

The BYD Qin PLUS DM-i and Song PLUS DM-i models were officially launched in the Colombian market in March this year. With the help of DM-i super hybrid technology, the two models have ultra-high fuel economy, strong comprehensive battery life, and extravagant aesthetic exterior and interior design.

Since 2020, BYD has partnered with local dealer Motorysa to sell BYD's full range of new energy passenger cars in Colombia, including medium and large luxury flagship sedan Han EV, luxury pure electric SUV Tang EV, as well as high-end plug-in hybrid models such as Qin PLUS DM-i and Song PLUS DM-i. So far, BYD has delivered nearly 3000 new energy vehicles to Colombia, making it one of the major new energy passenger car brands in the local market.

CTOnews.com learned that so far, BYD's new energy products have been found in major Latin American countries, including Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Dominica, Costa Rica, Uruguay and so on.
