It is more suitable than IF function. Excel calculates ladder commission, and VLOOKUP is enough.

Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

I've been worrying about a problem lately.

Not long ago, my boss asked me to use Excel to calculate the commission for my colleagues in the company, and layers of nested IF functions hurt me.

But that day, I caught a glimpse of the new colleague who only used a very short string of functions, even though the commission was good.

Why? Why on earth is that?

After a lot of thought, finally. I still haven't figured it out.

Well, then I'll just have to use my killer's mace!

Me: brother, how do you calculate the commission?

He: a commission? I use the VLOOKUP function.

Let's take a look, 👇👇👇.

Specific operations of 👉:

❶ click on the cell in which you want to calculate the commission, and type "= VLOOKUP (" in the edit bar.

The first parameter of ❷ is "find Target". We click on the corresponding sales and enter ",".

The second parameter of ❸ is "look in". We select the royalty table (without the title) and enter ",".

The third parameter of ❹ is "return the column in the look-up range". We enter "2" (here the commission is in the second column of the look-up range), and we also enter ",".

The fourth parameter of ❺ is "match type", and we enter "1" (approximate match) and ")".

Press the [Enter] key, double-click the mouse [left button] in the lower right corner of the cell to complete the fill, and finally click "percentage style" in the start tab.

The complete formula is as follows:

= VLOOKUP, is it much simpler than nesting IF functions layer by layer?

As the saying goes, time is money. It seems that I have learned another trick to save money.
