CTOnews.com, December 19, according to Sinopec News, recently, the China International cargo Airlines Boeing 777 cargo plane filled with Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Biological Aviation Coal took off from Hangzhou and arrived in Belgium 12 hours later.

Bio-aviation coal is mainly produced from catering waste oil (commonly known as gutter oil) and animal fat. Compared with traditional fossil fuels, the carbon emission in the whole process from raw material collection to user use can be reduced by up to 85%. This is the first flight of China's bio-aviation coal green international cargo, which marks the beginning of the era of sustainable fuel green aviation.

China's first 100000 t / a bio-aviation coal production plant was completed in Zhenhai in August 2020, and the first batch of products were trial-produced on a large scale in May this year. The first batch of products were successfully sent to Airbus (China) Tianjin production base. And have been used in China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Air China, colorful Guizhou Airlines and other domestic routes, as well as international cargo routes. The realization of triple coverage from production base to commercial flight, from passenger transport to freight transport, and from domestic routes to international routes indicates that China's independent research and development of bio-aviation coal has changed from large-scale production to large-scale application.
